Rapperswil-Jona
The first large-scale ice rink, made of synthetic OCEANICE opened to the public by the lake of Zurich in Rapperswil-Jona. The project does facilitate energy-saving ice skating, year-round skills training and low-maintenance operation on an area of approximately 650 square meters. Together with our partners and the town of Rapperswil-Jona, we aimed to provide an opportunity for the public to experience and enjoy ice sports throughout the year. This initiative is supported by SHARKBLADES, which ensures optimal glide and stop on our OCEANICE. Green.Hockey is currently negotiating with several other municipalities and private owners who are seeking sustainable solutions for their ice rinks. In times of energy and water crisis, it's essential to provide alternatives for our beloved ice sports around the world.
